Top 5 Places to Watch the 2013 America’s Cup Finals

America’s Cup Finals begin this Saturday!  It’s never too late to plan your America’s Cup event, as races can last until the 21st. Our intrepid sailors have compiled a list of the best spots to catch all the action.

1. On a Boat

Want to soak up the action like a VIP?  If you are lucky enough to find an available boat to rent (or a friend with an extra spot), head to one of the on-water viewing areas for the best vantage point. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars and tune the boats radio to VHF 20 for race play-by-play.

Need a boat? Find an available boat in San Francisco on Boatbound now!

2. On Your Mobile Device

Not in San Francisco? That’s okay.  You can follow the race with the Cup Experience smartphone app. Grab the app for your iPhones or Android phones now.

3. AC Village at Marina Green

See the entire race course except the finish line or watch the big screen with live commentary. Viewing space is limited so be sure to come early, or you always have the option to pay for bleacher seating. Buy tickets here.

4. AC Park at Pier 27-29

Find a spot here and own the best view of the finish line from the shore. The park is free to enter, which means there will be limited standing space directly at the finish line. However, there is a giant screen, bean bags and tons of libations to enhance your viewing experience.

5. Pier 39 Garage Rooftop

Open during the matches only. Tickets go for $300, and include food and drinks. Buy tickets here.
